JAMRARA
It's been a successful web series to credit into my name. I have been part of this awesome series and a close soldier to Dir. Soumendra Padi, He is a master story teller and knows the nerves of the audience and most importantly he knows the characters, their traits and their dialogues in his sleep as well.
I was supposed to work in this project on the set but destiny had different plans so, I joined him on the post of the show... I was THE CREATIVE SUPERVISING POST PRODUCER on this and closely worked with Dir SOMENDRA PADI, NETFLIX and the VIACOM18 team.
The stories of making this web series is itself a story... in between Covid and city jams and lots of restrictions... a lot of covid cases at the office and post studios... we made sure the calm and effective project comes out of the studio and reaches a large section of the audience, and be aware of the scams in the society.
It's been a
while but this movie still remains closest to my heart for more reasons than
one. It's appeal lies in the caricature of a larger-than-life real life hero
very simply portrayed by Akshay. Some of the challenges of working in a movie
with a large backdrop is the detailing, the story and the lead characters must
shine over the peer group yet drawing from them. Airlift was large scale by
virtue of its location and by virtue of the hundreds of rustic characters. My
specific contribution to the movie was creating a script for all those people
huddled in refugee camps and on the war grounds insignificant when compared to
Ranjeet Katyal yet momentous when evaluating their individual struggle

THE FABLE
The film premiered at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival on February 16, 2024.
It will compete in the festival's Encounters segment, which features 14 other titles from around the globe.
It is only the second Indian film in the last 30 years to premiere in one of the key competitive sections of the Berlin International Film Festival.

This Film was offered to me as a LINE PRODUCER. I belong to the mountains where the Fable was based on... My very close friend and Co- Producer of the film, Ganesh Shetty (Anna) called me for a meeting in Mumbai, I came from the Mountains and once he narrated the story and gave me the background of the Dir. Raam Reddy, I was so kicked to be part of the film in any capacity... I had seen TITHI, Raam's previous film and like many other indie film makers I was in awe with his film making...
while filming The Fable, came in close with Raam and realised a lot about his style of film making and a sense of patience for a film to make.
a lot of friends were part of this journey. You think or name a problem in film making and we faced that in the process of this film... and figured a solution to each one of those problems... learnt a lot, held our nerves and survived 2 Lockdowns. (some day will have much more to say about the movie.. like a story in the story)

I joined the show as THE CREATIVE SUPERVISING POST PRODUCER and closely worked with Dir KANISHK VARMA and the VIACOM18 team.
The show has powerful performances by the lead actors, Manav Vij and Monika Panwar.
I have no words for Manav Vij's aura, he makes scene work for him without even a dialogue.. his eyes are captivating while he acts...
Since Jamtara I have been fan of Monika's craft. she has a great spark to her talent and her genes from the mountains make it work for her innocence in the craft.
The dir. Kanishk Varma is a very talented visual artiste, he knows his shots and his way of editing them seamlessly and his closed associate Mr. Sanjaya Sharma who has worked with him as an Editor, knows his cuts and pauses. I have been lucky to be in this team and sometimes supervise the whole act of genius guys on the editing table.
BAAZAAR
This Film remains in my memories forever, on the last shoot day, (23rd Dec 2017) I met with an accident on the set and the whole team took care of me.. I stayed in the hospital for almost 10 days and realised, how much love I have and then I prayed for the film's success. and till now whoever talks about the film and gives me awesome feedback of the film... I get teary eyed...
Worked as 1st AD and second unit Director on the film. Gauravv Chawla is an awesome director, His film-making experience is a story itself, I was lucky to get a crash course of film-making from Gauravv during the film BAAZAAR.

Working with Raja Menon is my all time high, he gives me freedom to express and share my thoughts and I get chance to express, his stories with my kind of understanding… and then starts the casting process. Happy we find ourselves always on the same page and casting does wonders. Me being CASTING DIRECTOR on the chef was a treat to work with Raja menon and his team.
Chef- is a 2017 Indian Hindi - Langauge, Comedy- Drama film co-produced and directed by Raja Krishna Menon. It is an official remake of the 2014 American film with the same name, The film stars Saif Ali Khan in the title role.
DRISHYAM FILMS

Worked as an Associate Dir. on this film with a long time friend and a great film maker Ganesh Shetty, Produced by Drishyam Films.
A beautiful story of a small-townn girl of mathura, making her name in a city like mumbai... her turmoiled relationship with her lover and a great bond of father and daughter...
Ganesh and I worked shoulder to shoulder for this film as we both believe in the stories which are pure and not discussed by the society quite often.

| POW-Bandi Yudh Ke |
Though an adaptation of a foreign show, the brillance of POW-Bandi Yudh Ke can be gauged by its popularity.
I came on board this one as a casting director which, given the magnitude of the show, was quite a herculean task. This was also my most engaging and endearing experience as I have often been told of my flare with people. I guess I just like being around them and they me?
This was also another opportunity for me to work with Nikhil Advani. That's my kind of cinema, one that offers more realistic performances and cinematic authenticity.
MUSIC VIDEOS DURING TOUGH TIMES OF COVID.
It
seldom happens when the real life outstands its reel life portrayal. I would
attribute that credit largely to the real -life hero and in some measure to the
director. We managed to achieve this in Unicef's Priyanka Bharti. Though I have
done several projects for Unicef and enjoy getting a closer view to their
contribution, easily undermined in the daily rigmarole of making ends meet, this one achieves quite a feat within the span of a few seconds.

Who would have guessed the water was a few degrees on the negative. Haridwar, we had to cover the Ganga Aarti in 13 minutes and get it right the first time. We had about 5 cameras placed strategically to ensure against missing any aspect of the ceremony. I remember having dived in for a dip on the accomplishment of this almost momentuous shot. The shoot was memorable for it cast the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Him, we shot in Mumbai. Did you know he would prefer a fish and rice to any of the delectable buffets you might offer him? That's Sachin for you. I secretly felt honoured to stand in for Sachin during the shoots.
The shoot took me to the Rann of Jaisalmer and to Ladakh and to Jodhpur and Delhi too.
Haling from higher altitudes, Ladakh came the easiest to me. What did they say-Behti hawa sa tha wo? Canon - This short ad film was a visual delight compiled into all of exactly 30 seconds, just like a breeze, was a knockout for the crew.

Levi's - We believe its about shape not size. Well, I believe it's about sight, insight and foresight.
A director's most handy tool is experience and the ability to adapt to situations in a rapidly changing environment. Having acquired a reputation for a location expert, this one tested my skills as i traversed the shores from Chennai to Pondicherry to Goa where this ad film was finally shot. Though there is no dearth of natural light in Goa you have to be very lucky anywhere to be able to make hay when the sun shines. If not, you create it !!
We owe it to Daniel for helping us experiment with props and reflectors to create artificial light. The pure fill-in effect leaves you wanting for none - It's Goa like Goa is.
The Largest family in the world. Starring Vim's spokesperson popular TV star Sakshi Tanwar, the film is about how Vim allows the women of the household a chance to watch a family football match since it helps them get done with their chores sooner. These 30 seconds took a great planning to work with The largest family in the world and the Smallest crew from Mumbai. There were logistic and linguistic barriers. it was an absolute pleasure to interact with the family members and Mizoram is without doubt among the most stunning places in the country. The agency and our team were loath to disturb family's schedule in any way. we shot the film using the smallest crew, handheld cameras and no artificial light. one more challenge was the natural light. daylight lasted from 4 am to 4:30 pm.
